I stayed here for two months, and the last few weeks were especially frightening and upsetting. Someone upstairs seemed to be active all night, hammering, drilling, shifting heavy things, and walking around for unusually long stretches. I couldn't sleep. After a full night without rest, I reported it. The staff first apologized and said they'd spoken to the person above me and the noise would stop. Two hours later, they said nobody lived in that apartment, which contradicted what they'd just told me. I could clearly see lights on and windows open, and I could hear someone talking upstairs. Their final advice was to call the police. That wasn't the help I needed. I was already distressed and hadn't even eaten because of the stress. Going through the rest of my stay without support felt unsafe and deeply unsettling. The service at Steiner Residence was awful throughout. They regularly ignored guests and were very hard to reach, even with basic questions. I strongly advise women travelling or living alone, and anyone who needs basic safety and reliable support, not to rent or book an apartment at Steiner Residence.
The location was handy, with a metro station about a five-minute walk away and plenty of grocery shops nearby. My son especially loved the park and play area beside the grounds of St Francis Church, about a two-minute walk away. He spent most of his time there with his Dad while I was at the university. The large amusement park, Prater, was just one station away. We stayed five days and four nights while I was in Vienna for medical training. The online check-in went smoothly. The hotel has no reception, and they emailed me a check-in link days before we arrived. After check-in, they sent the gate and room codes by email. The room was very clean when we got there, and had cooking essentials, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. I loved the temperature setup, especially the heated floor, which was useful in the cool nights near the end of autumn. There's air conditioning too, which isn't always available in Vienna hotels. We could use their Netflix account, and the smart TV also had the Disney+ app. We had a great experience and I'd recommend the apartment.
A lovely property with staff who were both professional and friendly. The manager stays in touch and is available whenever guests have questions. Recommended.
The place was brand new, quiet, and very clean. Great location, just a short distance from U1 Vorgartenstrasse.
Spotlessly clean and had everything needed. It's also near a metro station and supermarkets.
