The Temple

I was surprised by how spacious it really was, with high ceilings, and the place was very well maintained. Before booking, I wasn’t sure the photos showed the true size, but it’s about three times larger than other places I’ve stayed with kitchens. It had everything I needed, including a washing machine. Tram and subway stops and the airport bus stop were very close, and I could even walk to St. Stephen's Cathedral. Villa and Hopper supermarkets are on the corner of the next block, so groceries were easy to get. There’s also luggage storage in the building across the street before or after check-in. If I return to Vienna, I’ll definitely stay here again.

Quiet and tucked into a courtyard, this is a little gem in the 1st district. The furnishings are tasteful and public transport is convenient. Highly recommended.

The apartment is beautiful in design and quiet, but any noise can disturb the neighbors. Its location near the river and markets is great. There’s one bathroom in the whole apartment, with a bedroom and bathroom, plus an upstairs room or bed that opens onto the downstairs area without a bathroom. There’s no air conditioning or elevator. A fan is available if you ask, which is a surprise, especially in summer.
