Urban Serviced Apartments

The location made exploring Vienna easy since everything was within walking distance. At the Urban Boutique Hotel, check-in was smooth and the staff were warm and welcoming. My room was spotless, nicely designed, and had a comfortable bed and modern amenities. Breakfast was fresh and varied, served in a cozy area. I felt well taken care of and would happily stay there again.

We stayed in the three-bedroom apartment with five adults and two small kids. The location is excellent, but don’t let that fool you. The furniture feels like junk-shop finds, and the DIY is laughable. It’s turned the inside of a beautiful period property into a seedy dive. Some of the black textured polystyrene tiles on the bedroom wall are broken. At the peeling faux-marble kitchen table, six barstools don’t match: two are shorter, and two are broken and unsafe. There’s so little basic kitchen equipment that even making a snack is a pain. No kitchen knife or cutting board, and just one teaspoon in the whole flat. In our bedroom, three single beds of different heights are squeezed sideways across the room. They creak so loudly they woke us, and the sheets are too small and come off during the night. The decor is repulsive, fixtures are broken, and management is surly. Caution, staying here could ruin your holiday. These guys are maximally dodgy and deserve to go out of business.

We were seven, five adults and two small kids. We arrived, saw the place, and were utterly appalled. The location might be top-notch, but the establishment felt like a seedy place with structural problems, dressed up to lure unsuspecting guests. The decor was junk-shop chic, as if picked from a discount store clearance section. Nothing matched and things were broken. There were safety hazards, including a broken glass table with sharp edges and remnants of pipe installations in the bathroom. The kitchen made even a simple snack frustrating, with no knife or cutting board. At the peeling faux-marble table, six mismatched barstools included two that were too short and two that were broken, creating a genuine safety hazard. But there was a giant sofa in the kitchen, so why not all sit there and eat? The bedroom for two parents and two kids had three single beds of different heights shoved in sideways. They made a terrifying creaking orchestra whenever anyone dared breathe. The sheets were too small for the mattresses and kept slipping off, leaving us exposed to the scratchy, unsafe bed setup. We got a literal creak out of the experience, and not the good kind. Management seems to have a closing statement built into its business model. Stay away unless you enjoy a truly punishing vacation.

Not recommended. We had to climb many, many stairs every day with three kids, and there was no lift. Breakfast was meant to start at 7.30, but at 7.45 there still wasn’t enough food for everyone. The lady was rude and watched what and how much we ate. The room needs improvement. To be honest, the toilet was the best part. The receptionist was a very lovely lady. The rest gets only one star.
