It’s a 20-minute walk into downtown, but an easy one. Being outside the center means it’s really quiet, and there’s a nice garden too. I spent hours out there with a glass of wine, doing absolutely nothing except listening to the birds. Heaven! The villa itself was perfect, very clean, modern, and equipped really well.

Thomas kept in touch with us really well, and we hope to return one day. Villa Piccola was just right for our six nights in May 25, with a spacious villa, good cooking facilities, and outdoor areas. The photos match the place pretty well. Shops and even the town center are within easy walking distance, while gorges and lakes are easy to reach by car, as are Slovenia and Italy.

The garden and outdoor areas were a lovely place to unwind, and the staff made us feel welcome with friendly, personal service. Villa Piccola in Villach has a quiet, intimate feel, with rooms that are cozy and tastefully decorated. It’s close enough to the city center to get to Villach’s attractions easily, while still offering a peaceful retreat. The villa has modern amenities alongside classic charm, and breakfast with fresh local ingredients was a nice way to start the day. A memorable stay in a picturesque setting.

There was a parking spot right beside the house, so no hunting around for somewhere to leave the car. Inside, the furnishings were tasteful and we felt at home almost immediately. We had everything we needed in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. We’d love to return if we can find a few days free to stay in this lovely house.
