Goldhirsch Aparthotel Wagrain

The food was a big part of a great ski week here. The Wiener Schnitzel and zander were especially good, and the hotel felt warm and family friendly throughout. Our room was spacious and well equipped, with breathtaking views of the two biggest ski peaks. The place is modern and very well run, with excellent service, a nice pool and sauna, and handy underground parking. Thanks to the owners and Luna for such a lovely stay. We’ll be back!

The staff were so friendly and helpful, and I’d happily come back. Breakfast had a wide choice, including salmon and a properly soft-boiled egg ;-) The restaurant’s huge windows make for a nice setting, and the food was very good. It’s a lovely hotel, all new and tastefully decorated. Greetings from Carinthia.

Dinner was really, really tasty and well worth recommending. The owners are so friendly, polite, and helpful, and you can feel how much care and heart they put into running the place. It’s especially impressive that much of the hotel was built by them. The Goldhirsch Apart Hotel is modern and stylish, and the rooms are beautifully designed. The spa with its pool and sauna, along with the breathtaking view, were highlights. A couple of small things could be easier: parking in the underground garage is a bit awkward, and the breakfast buffet can be hard to reach when it’s busy. Still, we had a great stay, would recommend it, and would definitely come back. (Photos attached.)

The bus stop is an easy walk from the hotel, and it takes just three minutes to reach the slopes. Your ski pass covers the bus, and after skiing we never had to wait long since one comes every 7-8 minutes. We’ve stayed at Haus Heimat several times in winter, then came back to Aparthotel Goldhirsch for the second time this year. Goldhirsch is the large new building behind Haus Heimat. It opened in December 2024; we stayed there in January 2025 and came back again in January this year. We’re going back next year too, because it’s so good! :-) Andrea and Gerhard are lovely, hardworking people who do everything they can to make guests comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the rooms are cleaned every day. There’s really nothing to complain about. There’s garage parking and two ski storage rooms, with facilities for drying ski boots. Upstairs, the pool and Finnish sauna look out over the mountains and ski slopes, and make a great place to unwind. Massages are available too.
