Haus Amadeus

We could order rolls and Kornspitze each day, and our hosts brought them to the door in a little bag for breakfast. The bus stop is right by the building, with a free ten-minute ride to the Grafenberg valley station and back. Our clean, cozy apartment had charming furnishings, and we felt right at home during our week of skiing. Wilma and Reinhart gave us such a warm welcome. The week flew past, and we’ll definitely return next year. Hopefully there’ll be just as much snow!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s on a main road beside a gas station, and the apartment was dirty, with old, filthy furniture and a nasty kitchenette. We booked through DER Tour for two adults and children aged 4 and 7, expecting separate bedrooms. Instead, we got two separate rooms that could only be reached through the hallway or balcony, which was ridiculous with small kids. There wasn’t even a proper table for four. My husband had to eat on the bed, I found a folding chair, and the children used two armchairs at an old coffee table. Disgusting. I’m surprised we didn’t get sick. DER Tour offered no help at all, and I’d never book with them again.

The ski bus stops right by the apartments, and the accommodation is very nice and well kept. We had a wonderful week skiing in Wagrain at Haus Amadeus and would love to return.

Our hosts were very welcoming, and fresh, warm baked goods were brought to the door in the morning. The apartments are clean and pleasant, each with a shower and separate toilet. There’s a separate, locked ski storage room and parking, with public parking nearby too. Ski buses are three minutes from the house, and the swimming pool is a ten-minute walk away.
