The house lord was nice, and the views were awesome. They had fresh bakery each morning, plus house made milk, eggs, and jam. We found it very relaxing. Parking is tricky if your car is low.

The view was great, and the apartments came with lots of accessories.

Apartment 1 was a terrible setup for us, and the stay was awful. It’s not really an apartment: there are two hotel rooms upstairs, with stairs that have no child safety gates, while the small kitchen is downstairs in a public hallway used by the family and other guests. There’s no living room. For winter sports, the location was very inconvenient. You have to drive on a very narrow, steep road with snow chains, the ski bus isn’t walkable, and the parking lot won’t work for a low vehicle. There’s no working Wi-Fi either. We were two families renting apartments 1 and 2: an older couple, their adult children, and three grandchildren, 12 people altogether. The apartment kitchens had nowhere to store our things because everything was already full, no hooks to hang anything, and a very small fridge for seven people. In the kitchen-diner, there was a double sofa bed with what felt like a hard wooden mattress. Frau Erika kept checking on us when we were out, including whether knives were in the dishwasher and whether a towel was draped over a kitchen chair. She scolded us, cursed, and yelled instead of listening. She seemed to know when we left and would be in the apartment as soon as we closed the door. She also accused me of booking under a false name because I used my maiden name rather than my husband’s and children’s name, demanded to see my passport immediately, and wanted to photograph it. She came in during dinner with her husband and counted how many people were there. At 5:15, the man of the house started scraping the parking lot right below the bedroom window, making a lot of noise. It felt like he was teasing us. On the second evening, three friends joined us for dinner. That made 15 of us sharing pasta instead of 12, and they left after an hour and a half. Erika got furious, started threatening us, and stood there screaming without asking for an explanation. We should have mentioned the visitors, but it didn’t justify ruining our whole week. We explained that my brother was staying at a guesthouse down the road because there wasn’t room for him, though he ate with us. Erika got angry and yelled at him whenever he came over. One day he used our key to bring groceries in because the place can only be reached by car. We later found a long list of house rules posted somewhere, spelling out everything you’re not allowed to do. The dishwasher was noisy, so it got switched off when people went to bed. We forgot to turn it back on the next morning. When Frau Erika saw water in it as we went skiing, she didn’t ask us about it or start it up, but called a technician, who emptied the filter for €70. We refused to pay, and for the fifth time that holiday she threatened to call the police. We weren’t worried; they didn’t show up, and now she says she’ll have her lawyer handle it. The outer door was kept locked even when half or all of our family was inside. Not everyone had a key, so anyone wanting to go in or out had to find one. It was unsettling to think you couldn’t leave during the day without first searching for a key. When we left, we cleaned up, stripped the beds, and left everything looking neat. The only thing I can think of as positive was that we could order sandwiches.

The view was wonderful, and the apartment was very clean and well kept. We spent a short break at Haus Erika, where the landlady, Erika, was attentive and helpful.

Dear Koblinger family, we had such a lovely time at your place. The hospitality was amazing, the apartment beautiful, and breakfast fantastic ❤️ Erika and her family are the best. We’d love to come back!
