Annemarie was a wonderful host, and we had a great time at her accommodation. Breakfast was second to none, all freshly prepared. We skied at Steinplatte, about five minutes away by car, and there’s a ski bus that stops nearby. I’d highly recommend Ascherbauer as a place to stay in Waidring.

For more than ten years, we’ve visited Annemarie and her family at Ascherbauer Farm at least once a year. It feels like coming home, and we always leave feeling relaxed. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, and breakfast is made with so much care, with everything you could want. Children are very welcome.

Our children’s favorite part was visiting the cowshed every evening. This is a beautiful place for families to discover nature, animals, and farm life, and Annemarie’s family is so welcoming that it’s easy to feel at home. Thank you so much, Annemarie!

The hikes we tried this year were all fantastic, including six out of eight days on routes we hadn’t done before. Annemarie has so many good ideas for things to do nearby, and she really listens to her guests. We’ve been coming to the Ascherbauer at least once a year for 15 years, and her warm welcome always makes it feel like home. The varied breakfast is first-class too. All those years of returning say plenty, and we’d be very happy to come back.

At 5 p.m., Annemarie heads to the barn, and our grandchildren were so eager they called out, “Grandpa, drive a little faster!” A stay on this farm is an unforgettable experience for city kids.
