Chalet Tirol Waidring

The little touches made our 18 days at Chalet Tirol in Waldring feel like staying with friends. Anja and Uwe seemed to anticipate what we needed, and kept the beautiful house in pristine condition. Cleanliness is clearly their top priority. They gave us a thoughtful welcome gift too, something we’d never had before. We’ve visited Waldring many times, but this was our first time staying at Chalet Tirol, and we loved it from start to finish. The indoor bar area and beautifully cared-for garden, including its covered seating, add to the place, and you can buy cold drinks from the fridge. Dogs are warmly welcomed; our Labradoodle, Mila, misses the garden and all its dog toys. The floral displays on the balconies and around the house were so lovely that cars would stop for photos. Decker the bread sommelier baker, Intersport, Café Schmid, a pizzeria, and Restaurant Schneidermann are all within walking distance. A heartfelt thank you to Anja and Uwe. We’ll definitely be back!

With a bit of luck from the weather gods, you get the full white Christmas here, down to every detail. The warm atmosphere is carefully tended by our Austrian hosts, who welcomed us with homemade cookies and looked after us so well. The seasonal decorations were tasteful, and our hostess brought Christmas cheer with a few quiet words. Everyone spoke to us in such a friendly, easygoing way. We even booked an extra day because we weren’t ready to say goodbye to our son, who’s a ski instructor here. The host cleared the snowy path twice a day, and there’s a heated locker for ski and snow boots. Dogs are allowed in the apartment too. The Spruce tree and Waidring’s atmospheric center are just a stone’s throw away, with mountain views that are a feast for us country folk. We’d love to return in summer or enjoy another winter wonderland, where each new guest is welcomed into the right mood by candlelight. The room was great and really clean, and breakfast was fantastic with plenty to eat. The people are incredibly nice. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We stayed here while travelling to Croatia and again on the way back, and we’d gladly return. The hostess was so kind and welcoming, breakfast had everything you could want, and they took excellent care of us. We’d already left a review on Booking, but it wasn’t saved the way we intended. 10/10 really fits. Thanks again for everything. Oli & Babsi
