We stayed at the Gwirchtalm, and it was fantastic. It’s the perfect holiday if you want to focus on the essentials. The peaceful evenings, sunsets, cowbells, and evening concert will stay with us for a long time. Thanks, Martina and Daniel, it really was wonderful! 😎

We’ve been returning here for years, in summer and winter, and it’s our favorite family holiday spot. The family makes you feel so welcome, the homemade organic food is lovely, and in winter there’s a fantastic ski school. The accommodation is charmingly rustic, and the animals and beautiful natural surroundings make it a little paradise. Simply brilliant.

It’s pure relaxation. My family and I visit often, and the owners have become friends. They’re incredibly friendly, and you can see the farm’s organic roots, as it was the first organic farm in Austria. I really recommend the Gwirchtalm and the Schweizerhütte in the mountains. Up there it’s proper alpine life, with cows grazing along the trails and lush grass all around. You gather firewood in the forest for a campfire, and it’s completely secluded. There are also fantastic hiking and biking paths to other alpine pastures, including some where you can get snacks, like the Schwarzenbachalm.

In summer, it’s handy to cycle past this farm and top up your water bottles at the nice watering spot. The farm also supplies the nearby Plangger cheese dairy in Sebi, just outside Niederndorf near Kufstein.
