A small, welcoming hotel with kind staff and rooms stocked with what you might need. Breakfast is good, and they make their own teas. They also produce things like apple juice and snaps. I’m sure I’ll come back in summer.

We stopped by last Friday morning for coffee and breakfast after hearing about the place, and were surprised by how polished and well run it was. The modern, stylish architecture sits among farms and greenery, with a peaceful, private feel. They also have rooms for rent. Prices were surprisingly affordable, and the waiters were friendly and spoke really good English. It was a very nice visit and I’d recommend it. It only opens on weekends, though, and afternoons might get a little crowded.

The sense of being surrounded by nature is everywhere at Guntrams11, with fruit trees, rich flora and fauna, and a woodland walk behind the resort. The path is good for children and strollers, and we enjoy walking there with the kids. If you’re lucky, you might spot a rabbit or deer. It leads toward the end of the village, where there’s a lovely playground with plenty of toys and coloring books. The apartments and lofts feel like a treat and look just like the photos, if not better. For real peace and quiet, this is a place where you can switch off from the busy world. You might even see a dragonfly as big as your palm. We always make time for the Crystal Garden, with its unbelievable collection of large crystals from around the world. Breakfast is tasty and healthy, with reasonable portions, beautifully prepared and served with homemade products. The coffee is great too, and refills are free. It feels like heaven.

A lovely, unusual place surrounded by nature. You can try organic and homemade products here. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone who enjoys somewhere original.
