Looshaus Weerberg

Traudi gave us lots of good hiking tips and even joined us for visits to some particularly beautiful spots in the mountains. She welcomed us with coffee and fresh blueberry cake, and the view of the Karwendel mountains and the Tux Prealps was magnificent. The Leitner family's Looshaus sits 1270 meters above sea level, reached by a steep mountain road from Schwaz via Weerberg. We spent a wonderful week there with our two adult daughters. The top-floor apartment had everything we needed, and the view from its large balcony was fantastic. We thank Traudi from the bottom of our hearts for her kind hospitality. We highly recommend this holiday destination.

We came away feeling at home, with Traudi as a friend and memories we’ll still treasure in 50 years. I usually like to try new places because there are so many beautiful spots, but after just a few days I knew we’d be back next year. The nine nights flew by, though we savored every moment, including staying up late to admire the starry sky, the Milky Way, and shooting stars. The view from the courtyard across the Inn Valley to the Karwendel Mountains is breathtaking. We took our first ten photos within minutes, and the garden and balcony quickly became favorite spots. The apartment was superbly equipped for cooking, baking, or even making jam from freshly picked berries. Traudi was always ready to help and seemed to anticipate what we needed. The location offers hikes and activities for all ages and tastes, and Traudi and her husband Josef also take guests hiking and show them beautiful things along the way. Before arriving, we wondered if the reviews could be too good to be true. The warm email exchanges made us look forward to the trip, and the welcome confirmed it: homemade cake, fresh coffee, blueberry liqueur, and a charming smile. This was truly our most wonderful vacation, and we’ve never had such a lovely experience with hosts.

Traudi and Josef showed us and recommended so many great hikes, with something for everyone. The apartment was already spotlessly clean and tidy even though we arrived early, and the mountain view was stunning, especially from the lovely balcony. My family and I spent the summer of 2021 in beautiful Tyrol, and I’ve never had such a warm welcome. I felt comfortable and at home from the moment we arrived. It was a wonderful vacation with so many lovely people, and I’ll always cherish the memories. I’d gladly return and highly recommend it!

We traveled with a baby, and everything worked out perfectly. The hosts helped us explore the area, and we could really relax. They made us feel at home from the very first moment, almost as if we were visiting family. The Looshaus was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It’s surrounded by Austria’s beautiful nature, with highlights close by and a hiking forest right outside the door. The hosts were incredibly kind. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back. A truly special holiday!
