The owners were exceptionally warm, and the rooms were clean with excellent food during our two-night stay at Hotel Lipeter & Bergheimat. The lake is right there, which is hard to beat. It’s simple, welcoming, and comfortable, just what you need.

The owners and staff are very friendly, and breakfast is plentiful and very good. Our room was clean, attractive, and spacious enough. The only possible issue was the mattress in room 19, which seemed a little worn to me, though perhaps that was just my impression and it may not even be very old. Still, we had a fantastic holiday at Hotel Lipeter and Bergheimat, and I’d definitely return. The direct lake access is perfect, and the bathing jetty is large enough too.

They’re very welcoming and friendly, and share lots of useful information and tips about the area. The hotel is lovely and perfect for a relaxing break, with its own private jetty where you can swim in the clear water whenever you like.

The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, and it’s lovely to have it on the terrace in the morning sun. The hotel also has parking right there and a private garage for bicycles. Its private beach is great for relaxing, with free sun loungers and rowboats. The owner gave us a warm, personal welcome, and this family-run hotel right on Lake Weissensee has a cozy atmosphere and a superb location.
