Avoid this place at all costs unless you want to spend a week worrying about breaking one of the five pages of rules. The rules only came out when we arrived. There are five pages of them, and it felt more like being in prison than on vacation. Basic rules about noise, rubbish, behavior, and breakages are understandable, but most of these seemed focused on keeping the apartment in pristine condition and protecting it. For example, shoes beyond the entrance mat mean a €100 fine, and all windows must be shut whenever you leave. That window rule is ridiculous when I want to enjoy the mountain views, not feel like I'm living in a cellar. The deposit has to be paid in cash, but it's returned by bank transfer only after you leave, so you can't object if they deduct money for some minor issue. Luckily, nothing was deducted from ours. We booked two apartments and weren't allowed to visit each other's families or have breakfast or dinner together. That was the most absurd part. I could understand limits on inviting new people we'd just met in the mountains, but these were our relatives staying downstairs. There's a common room where you can basically make a sandwich, but there's no oven, microwave, or anything else, so it was pretty useless. They lock it on Fridays, too. On Saturday, our departure day, they started cleaning another apartment at 6 a.m., even though we had to leave by 9. It felt like they were “unintentionally” making us wake up early and get out as soon as possible. There's no privacy, either. They come in to “clean” every two days and move your things around, including while you're away on Saturday. Other rules include using the dishwasher only on automatic and taking out the rubbish every day, even if you have several plastic items in there. You have to use a new bag each time, which is not at all ecological. I could go on. Read the Google reviews to see all the strict rules. The one-star reviews are truly, truly accurate. We've been coming here for 10 years now, in both summer and winter, and once again had a lovely winter sports holiday. Appartement Weiss feels like coming home every time, whatever the season. The apartment is nicely furnished and spotlessly clean, and Carla and Paul do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. They're always happy to chat and offer advice. Clean towels and bathroom cleaning every two days meant we never lacked anything. We've already booked our next winter holiday.

The extra common room was so cozy, just right for relaxing and playing games in the evenings. Carla and Paul were friendly and very accommodating, and the apartment was well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was cleaned three times during our week-long stay. We had a wonderful time.

It's a wonderful winter sports village, but our stay at the house was frustrating. The manager's need to control everything is presented as “hospitality,” and it went too far. She came into our house every day without being invited. The cleaning fee is very high at €35 per week, and part of our deposit was also deducted because of spice traces on the countertop. Our things were moved, windows were closed without permission, and there was a book of rules. As a family, we were treated like teenagers. It went too far.
