Berggasthof Zieplhof

We had a great winter skiing stay with our daughter. The family room gave us plenty of space, and she had lots to do outside, including a playground, a kids’ tractor and ponies. The family was very accommodating with children, even making a different meal when she didn’t like what was planned. The drive up the mountain was a bit of a trek. With lots of snow in winter, I’d only recommend going in an all-wheel-drive car. The views were beautiful, though, and getting to and from town was easy.

The village has a charming feel, with good skiing in winter and fantastic hiking and biking in summer. The hotel works for either season, with bright, clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff who are always smiling. The kitchen combines international and Tirolean food, and it tastes great. You get more than a plateful, too ;) Friendly, clean and cozy, with a great kitchen. It feels like staying with family, and I’d highly recommend it.

There was plenty to keep the children busy, especially the animals and pony rides, and the location was beautiful. The staff were friendly, the evening menu was lovely, and our room was spacious. The only small downside was the room facilities, like the hair dryer, toiletries and coffee facilities. We adored our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

We had a short stay at the Zieplhof in early July, and it’s a little gem. The hotel’s location is fabulous, with amazing views. The staff welcomed us warmly, were friendly and extremely helpful, and looked after us very well. Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. When we return to Westendorf, Zieplhof will be at the top of our accommodation list.
