I fell in love with Niederau and hotel Alpenland and hope to visit again soon. The hotel’s location is breathtaking, with beautiful mountains right there when you open the balcony doors. The rooms are simple and clean, and the food is simple but very well cooked. The staff are wonderful, respectful, polite and so sweet. The housekeeping team stood out, along with the young man who was there all week for breakfast and dinner and served drinks at the bar.

You can pretty much ski right to the hotel entrance, since it’s just by the lift. It’s one of the most welcoming, family-feeling hotels I’ve stayed in. The owners are fantastic, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

There are rooms in different sizes, and some are set up as studios. The dining room for customers is very nice. The cuisine is good, though the bar is arranged so-so.

The terrace is very nice and the staff are friendly. But in 2022, a place that only takes cash doesn’t deserve more than 1 star.

It’s a nice place to stay, though there’s limited skiing nearby. You have more options if you take the ski bus.
