The mountain air was so refreshing, and the children had plenty to do, with a trampoline, play area, goats and cattle grazing nearby. Don’t approach the cattle while they’re grazing, though. They’re particular about their space and can get angry. We stayed for five summer days in a beautiful apartment with a kitchen. It’s an excellent place for a family holiday, and the people running it were wonderful. They served delicious Austrian and Tirolian dishes. WiFi is provided, though it wasn’t always consistent this high up in the mountains. The property is right beside the gondola, and passes were provided for it and public transport. The gondola gives access to both lower and higher parts of the mountain area. Hiking paths are available too. Check the operating times for the gondola and public transport, since they don’t run all day. If you drive up, some sections of the road are wide enough, but there are also steep shoulders without guardrails. That’s normal for driving in the European mountains.

The apple strudel was the best in town, a generous piece packed with apple and nicely spiced. There are fun places for children to play, plus pleasant outdoor seating and clean toilets. The staff were smiley too.

We booked one apartment for three people and got exactly what we’d seen on the booking site. It was super clean, and the host was very nice and spoke good English. After checking in, we received cards that gave us free access to a few things, including the cable car and swimming pool. We drove up a narrow, winding road, just wide enough for one car.

The food was fine and the service good. Prices are high, though I suppose that’s to be expected for a restaurant in this location. We had some food and drinks, and the people working there were quite nice and friendly.
