The private ski room for drying boots and skis was handy, and with enough snow you can ski right to and from the property. Our apartment had the large window, with a fantastic view of the Schatzberg and ski lift. Inside, it felt luxurious, with spacious rooms that worked well for our family of two children. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the landlords had thoughtfully left a starter set of coffee, tea, sugar and more. The beds were comfortable, though anyone who likes firm pillows may want to bring their own. The couple renting out the apartment were very friendly and helpful. Do note that snow chains may be needed for the final stretch of road. That same section is used as a toboggan run down to the valley. If there isn’t enough snow to ski from the house, it’s a 10-minute drive to the valley station. We’d recommend it for a stay in the Wildschönau area.

We were especially touched by how much the hosts care about making sure guests have a great stay. The apartment is beautifully furnished to a high standard, and we appreciated the hostess asking us directly if we had any ideas for improvements. Thanks for a fantastic week. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in the area.

The terrace has a wonderful view, and the hosts gave us good hiking tips. We spent May at the chalet and felt completely at home. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and practical, with fluffy soft towels, very comfortable beds, a modern kitchen, plenty of dishes and two lovely bathrooms. It was all spotlessly clean and nothing was missing. We had a wonderful holiday and can only recommend the chalet. Thank you so much!!!
