A golden light spills from the windows, a small, clear promise in the dark. Frost gathers around the lone house, and the silvery tree keeps watch. The forest, mountain, and valley fall quiet. A frozen path fades into the night. Peace settles here. Winter seems to whisper, stay a little longer. Addendum December 25, 2025 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A place to dream and feel at home At the Kogljahrerhütte, you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. Gudrun Brunner and her husband greeted us with so much kindness, care, and genuine hospitality. We felt like part of the family, not just guests. Every part of the house feels lovingly thought out. Gudrun has made sure nothing is missing, so we can simply relax and enjoy our stay. The untouched nature, quiet, and breathtaking mountain views make everyday life feel far away. The crisp air and gently falling snow just in time for Christmas made for a little winter miracle we’ll never forget. We’re lucky to be spending our 14-day holiday here at the Kogljahrerhütte through January 3, 2026. We’ll leave with full hearts, and we know we’ll be back.

The secluded spot is wonderfully peaceful, and the care Gudrun puts into the hut really shows in all the little things she has prepared for guests. There’s a soda stream, so you don’t have to carry bottles, plus Q-tips and nail scissors. The foosball table downstairs was the highlight for us, we had a blast. I recommended the Kogljahrerhütte to someone yesterday, and I’m so grateful for the wonderful time we had there.

We’ve already had the pleasure of enjoying this dream six times, and we’re looking forward to the next visit. It’s a place to relax, enjoy the complete quiet, and take in the pure nature and lovingly created atmosphere. Familie Brunner, the landlords, are genuinely kind, down-to-earth, thoughtful, and caring people.
