The check-in setup was a hassle, since the desk is over a kilometer from the apartment. During a particularly hot spell, we couldn’t get fans to ventilate the rooms, and support felt very limited. The apartment itself was a bright spot, especially the penthouse, which was spacious, comfortable and well kept. Zell am See is beautiful, with great views and lots to do. I was disappointed by the lack of help, though. If having assistance nearby and an easier arrival matters to you, I’d choose a hotel in Zell am See.

It’s about a 10-minute walk to the See and five minutes to the centre, where there are plenty of restaurants. Our room was clean and nice, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. You can do laundry for 3 euro. I’d definitely recommend AlpenParks Residence in Zell am See.

Close to the lake, town center and ski lifts, the location worked really well for us. The apartment was a good size and had everything we needed for a holiday. Having 3 bathrooms was especially convenient.

Clean and good overall, though the walls are thin enough that you can sometimes hear the neighbors.

A lovely stay, with the Alps in view and glacial water flowing nearby in the background.
