We cut our weeklong booking short and left after just three nights because the noise from the stairwell made it impossible to relax or sleep. We could hear conversations word for word, as well as every footstep and apartment door. Once, someone was loudly talking on speakerphone there at 3 AM. This kept happening, despite the rooms being advertised with "soundproof walls," which I consider an outright lie and fraud. When we asked for a quieter room, the owners refused and showed no interest in helping. They brushed off the problem and compared their sound insulation to professional hotels. The place felt nothing like a hotel, more like a torture chamber. The owners also refused a partial refund for the nights we didn't use. Their lack of accountability and understanding makes it seem like keeping the money matters more than guests' comfort. If peace, quiet, and honesty matter to you, stay far away from Apartment Trinker. It was a waste of money and a recipe for misery. Book elsewhere, you'll thank yourself later.

The sauna was a big plus, just remember to book a slot. The hosts put some treats in our apartment on Christmas Eve, which was so sweet. They also emptied the main kitchen bin and left clean towels, very useful. There was a little safe in the bedroom, too small for a laptop or iPad, but the place felt like fort knocks, so I felt fine leaving mine out. The location and apartment were great, and the hosts were lovely. We had a big comfy bed and ensuite, and brought our own pillows and large duvet, so we had plenty of snuggly. The utensils were well stocked. If you like a cafeteria, bring one.

We were there around Easter and found the apartment very clean and spacious. The owners were welcoming and accommodating, and the chocolate eggs and Easter decorations were a lovely touch that made us feel looked after. We could use the sauna every day, though we had to reserve a spot. The house is a 5 minute walk from the CityExpress cable car, and you can also take a free ski bus to Kaprun.

The noise made it impossible for us to rest. Our room by the entrance and stairs picked up every footstep, creaking door, and full conversation from other guests, as if the walls were paper thin. We told the hosts what was happening and asked them to help, but they showed no willingness or empathy. That made a miserable stay at Apartment Trinker even worse. It was one of our most frustrating trips, and if peace and helpful hospitality matter to you, I’d avoid this place.
