We were 22 people at Haus Jasmin from December 28, 2024, to January 4, 2025, and sadly the stay was disappointing. The location is a real plus, only a short walk from the elevator, but the house feels outdated and needs renovation. At €9,500 a week, we expected a lot more comfort and service, and I can’t recommend the experience. The technical problems were numerous. The washing machine left clothes wet after spinning, the dryer couldn’t be used, and even with good detergent tablets the dishwasher left dishes dirty. The sauna buckets leaked, shower pressure was very low and the water was cold when using the sauna, and a leaking coffee pot made the coffee maker unusable. The combination fridge had only a tiny freezer compartment. The oven’s baking tray kept collapsing because its locking mechanism was faulty, and the dining room lights were dim or broken. On arrival, the heating on the first and second floors was broken and needed repair. The icy steps to the front door hadn’t been cleared, which was a dangerous trip hazard. We also hadn’t realized an adjacent apartment shared the entrance. People kept appearing unexpectedly, even walking past while we were sitting in the dining room. The owner also kept €40 from our deposit for a kettle she said we had damaged. It had already been damaged by contact with a hotplate before we arrived, as the burn marks showed. We didn’t use the house kettle because we brought our own Aqua Global brand one. The owner said we should have reported the damage as soon as we arrived, but who thinks to turn a kettle upside down and inspect it on arrival? That felt unreasonable and unfair. One more thing: there’s no toilet on the ground floor near the living and dining rooms. If you’re in the dining room in the evening, you have to go upstairs to the first or second floor, depending on where your room is.

We had a lovely time. The house is well equipped with everything you need, and I’d happily come back.

A spacious, beautiful place that works well for big groups. Every room has its own shower and toilet.
