For a real Austrian Gasthaus feel, this is a great place to stay. Annie is a fantastic host, and the house is lovely, with clean, fresh rooms and a good breakfast. There’s a Finnish sauna in the basement, and the skilift and skibus stop are only 100m away on foot. Fully recommend!

Anna, the hotel owner, was very friendly and welcoming. We liked our stay. The location is very good, just five minutes from the city express station. Our room for three was clean and comfortable, with a balcony, and there are parking spaces in front of the hotel.

Anni runs this authentic place with such a warm touch. It’s quiet and perfectly located, a short walk to both the Schmittenhöhe lift and the city center, and handy for trips to Saalbach or Kaprun. The rooms are comfortable and functional, the sauna is great, and breakfast kept me going through a full day on the slopes. I was traveling solo for four nights, focused on skiing all day.

The lady of the house is incredibly friendly and helpful, and really made the stay memorable. This is a lovely, typical Austrian hotel/pension with a fantastic breakfast. By the entrance there are three nice corners with big tables and a street view, where you can relax or eat takeaway pizza or other food. There’s also a drinks fridge with very reasonable prices. It’s a five-minute walk to the first ski lifts and the centre of Zell am See.

Anni looked after us so well, and everything runs smoothly here. The place is warm, cozy, and friendly, with a perfect location. I had a great week and would absolutely recommend Alpenrose. I hope to come back. Thanks for making my visit so good!
