A Porsche community was staying there too, and the shared enthusiasm and friendliness gave our visit a memorable atmosphere of its own. The rooms at Schloss Prielau were spacious and comfortable, with beautiful decor that brings history together with modern comforts. Annette and her staff were warm and attentive, and the service was immaculate throughout. We felt welcome from start to finish.

Anette really makes the place feel like home, and she’s such a gracious host. The rooms are beautiful and have all the thoughtful details you could want. Breakfast is second to none. If you’re visiting Zell am See, I’d urge you to stay here. Don’t hesitate to book for your next trip!

We chose Schloss Prielau for our small destination wedding, and having the venue exclusively for our group made everything feel intimate and special. The bedrooms and suites were stunning, with spectacular attention to every finish. Anette and her team made sure our guests had a one of a kind wedding and overnight stay. Somehow, she even brought sunshine during an otherwise rainy week.

The lake is only a few minutes’ walk from Schloss Prielau, and there’s a private beach to enjoy. We also loved the surrounding nature. Anette’s recommendations took us to some of the area’s best places, away from the usual crowded instagram-y spots. We had wonderful food and wine, and our first gourmet restaurant experience. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting on a day when Mayer's restaurant is opened. The other staff were kind too, and all of them made us love our stay. Most of all, Anette made us feel like the most special guests. I can’t find the right words for how kind and attentive she is. You have to experience it yourself. She makes you feel so welcome, just as every guest is treated here. We had an excellent time and I can’t recommend Schloss Prielau enough. I’d be very happy to visit again.

The one drawback is the distance: it’s about a ten minute drive into town or a 35-minute walk. That may actually suit some people, since Schloss Prielau is very quiet. It’s a gorgeous castle hotel, and Annette and Max were friendly, helpful, and full of life. We loved it, and it was our favorite stop on our trip around Austria.
