Fam Hauser made us feel very welcome, and we'd definitely recommend staying here. We had a whole floor to ourselves in this lovely family-run chalet. It was clean and modern, with great showers, and an easy walk to the lifts.

The ski lift is only about a five-minute walk away, and in the mornings you can request bread and rolls. The landlady was really friendly, and the family food truck serves delicious food during opening hours if you don't want to cook. We've booked quite a few vacation apartments, and this was the best equipped one by far. The rooms are spacious and welcoming, and one bedroom has its own bathroom. Highly recommended. We liked the large balcony, the generous layout, and how spotless all the rooms were. Four adults and a child had plenty of space. Still, this was the worst of the three places we've stayed in Zell. It felt impersonal and gave us the impression that guests weren't much of a priority, with more attention going to the food truck in the driveway. It might suit people who don't want to socialize. The family never introduced themselves, and we hardly saw them. During our comings and goings, though, we often noticed them peeking through the ground-floor curtains to see who was around. The location beside the highway was another problem. On warm summer nights, sleeping with the windows open was practically impossible because of the traffic noise. It's a nice place in some ways, but it has much more potential.

We were very happy with the apartment during our January 2019 week. There were seven of us, six adults and one child, and the kitchen and bathrooms were very good. A high chair and crib were included at no extra cost. The ski lift is a five-minute walk away, and the nearest supermarket takes about ten minutes on foot.
