Camp Island Lodge

The caretakers made us feel genuinely welcome, with their warmth, knowledge, and enthusiasm adding a personal touch throughout our stay. We also loved the fishing around the Island, with a great range of marine species, and the exceptional snorkelling. Can't wait to go back!

Fishing with the new friends my 14yo made, bonfire evenings, turtle spotting, and kayaking all made for a fabulous stay. And there was just as much pleasure in doing nothing and taking in the view. Somehow, even with whatever was going on before arriving, you wake up the next morning feeling stress-free. Camp Island Lodge has a lovely mix of luxury and the homely feeling you don't get in hotels. The island feels magical, and the caretakers were wonderful, making sure we got the most out of our time there. We can't wait to find another chance to visit. Ivana and Lukas (aka Happy Campers)

Eating freshly caught Tuna sashimi was hard to beat, and our group loved the fishing, setting, and natural surroundings. There were plenty of activities to try, though it was just as nice to do nothing. We spent a week at Camp Island Lodge, where everything seemed thought through to make a stay feel unforgettable. I've holidayed in the region a lot, and this is right at the top of my list for future trips.

Watching the sunrise from the hill was one of my favorite things, as was sitting on the beach with a drink and taking in the sunset. Camp Island is a small, pretty island, quiet and relaxed, well away from the rush. Lizzie and Pete, the caretakers, are lovely people and make sure you have a great time. I've been twice. I fell in love with the place on my first trip in November 2023, and knew I had to return. I even brought my mum the second time to show her my favorite place in all of Australia. We really enjoyed our stay. This place is incredible and absolutely worth a visit. I call it paradise!
