Check-in was nice and easy. If you need a kitchen or pet friendly accommodation, or just somewhere decent to sleep at an OK price, this could be a good choice. For me, though, the room smelled bad, was very dusty, and had quite dirty carpets. I’d put it closer to 2.5 stars than 4.6.

The room was spacious, and I appreciated that the hotel allows pets. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean and comfortable. I stayed at Adabco Boutique Hotel for four days and three nights, with easy access around Adelaide thanks to the convenient bus stop nearby. The shared kitchens on Levels 2 and 3 were handy for cooking or reheating food, and vending machines on every floor made it easy to pick up snacks or drinks. The elevator wasn’t working on my first day, and there was no toothbrush in the room, but neither was a big problem for me. I really enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to friends.

I expected a more professional response and some effort to resolve the problem. At check-in, I was told the room would be cleaned automatically each morning. For four days I left before 9:00 am expecting the service, but nobody came and the room was never cleaned. When I finally asked for fresh towels and explained what had happened, I was told I needed to notify reception to request cleaning, which contradicted what I’d been told on arrival. No refund or compensation was offered for the inconvenience. Mistakes happen, but this was disappointing.

We were promised a free night by the general manager, then told we wouldn't get it after all. That came after a night of no sleep because a dog barked for hours, and we had to call the night watch at 3 am. The female manager said there was no night staff to deal with it. For what we paid, that was awful. I won't stay here again, save your money.
