The setting is lovely and peaceful, and Amanda’s cottage made for a relaxing stay. Our hosts were great, and breakfast was generous. There are lots of wineries nearby, with McLaren Vale just 10 km away. A must-stay, you won’t be disappointed. 👍🦋🙂

The cottage has a lovely garden and outdoor space, and the views of the hills and bush are beautiful. This part of McLaren Vale felt especially picturesque and more like a country escape than the coast. We enjoyed exploring nearby smaller wineries and walking in Kuitpo and Onkaparinga National Park. Inside, the wood fire made our winter stay warm and cozy, and the bathtub was just right for a soak with local wine. We had everything we needed, including fresh-baked bread and farm-fresh eggs for breakfast. The cottage itself is beautiful. The information book has photos of the restoration Joylene and Rob undertook, showing their lovely stonework and the care they put into restoring this piece of family history.
