After living in a Deluxe Studio at Dwell East End Adelaide for 2.5 years, I can see why it’s rated so highly. Its current rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 221 reviews feels accurate. I’ve also lived in Yugo, and Dwell ticks many more boxes for me. The place is clean and tidy, the staff are professional and polite, the WIFI is high speed, and the facilities are nice. The other residents generally have good vibes, and there are weekly events and all sorts of fun activities. I’ve made this place my home, and I’ll miss it when I leave. It’s worth it. Thank you Kevin, Emily, William and the Dwell East End Adelaide team for being fantastic people.

Dwell seems perfect for students, just a few blocks from university. There are weekly social activities and the facilities are well maintained. Check-in was seamless, though I can’t say the same for checking out. Emily was very friendly and accommodating. It’s a nice place to stay.

I’m happy with the accommodation and my overall experience. The living environment is comfortable and well managed, and most reception staff have been friendly, patient and helpful. I really appreciate their support. I did have a concern about one female receptionist, call Shen Liu. At times her information wasn’t detailed and wasn’t always accurate, which left me confused. She also seemed impatient when I asked questions and not very willing to help. For example, I had found a replacement tenant and asked for help transferring my lease. She said she was about to finish work and didn’t assist directly, only giving me a brief explanation without clear guidance. Because I didn’t get clear support then, I lost that replacement tenant and had to find another, costing extra time and money and affecting my rental arrangements. I hope reception can improve by giving students clearer information, more detailed guidance and more supportive help.

Dwell taught me that the costliest part of living there isn’t the rent, it’s expecting staff to help. Cherie’s customer service was a steady lesson in silence and indifference. Emails went unanswered, questions got no response, and problems were ignored long enough that you were left to give up. No follow-up, no accountability, no service. If you like sending emails that feel like journaling, being left on read without even the courtesy of being read, and paying premium rent for self-service, Dwell may suit you. Update: Some reviews describe Cherie and Kevin as “always helpful,” yet I’ve found them consistently unreachable. Over time, a pattern became hard to ignore. Residents from Hong Kong often describe smooth, friendly interactions, while residents from mainland China frequently report rigidity, unnecessary difficulties and comments that feel more like interrogation than help, particularly from Cherie. Service doesn’t seem to be the same for everyone.

I’ve lived here for 3 years, and it’s a good place to live. It’s very convenient for the uni campus and Rundle mall. The reception team is kind and helpful, and they’re always reaching out to support residents, especially Kevin and Cherie. Highly recommended!!!
