Lockleys Hotel

Monday steak night was $25 each, and it was worth every penny. We had an early Christmas dinner with family, and the atmosphere was wonderful. My steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare, with beautifully seasoned, salted chips and a sauce that paired well with the dish. Tash served us during dinner with great vibes and really enlivened the evening.

Our table had 12 people, and ordering was slow because there weren't enough people taking orders. The woman who greeted us looked like she didn't want to be there. When she later served the food with another staff member, she was rude to one of our guests after they asked about their meal. The fries had no taste, and the meals could have been less oily. My schnitzel felt like it had come straight from the freezer and been cooked. My wife ordered a meat dish medium, but it was raw. When she told the woman, she replied that it looked medium to her. It was very chewy, and the customer service left us very disappointed. Staff should also use the full dish names from the menu when serving steak meals instead of abbreviating them. It's a pub, but compared with other pub meals, this was our worst experience.

Angelica made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived at the bar at Lockleys hotel. She was working in the heat but stayed friendly and attentive, and took such good care of us. The drinks were made perfectly and the service was flawless. Thank you!

Angelica made us some great cocktails while serving in 45-degree heat. She also kept my six-year-old daughter happy with a cool colouring book. Highly recommend.
