For the price, I think this is the best budget hotel around Glenelg. The gentleman at the counter was helpful and gave us good information. We chose it because the other option available near the weekend of 18/10/25 was close to $400 a night, so staying here left us more money for nights out at Glenelg. I don’t know why other reviews complain. You get what you pay for, and in this price range it’s five stars.

I’ve stayed here several times and find it great value for travellers trying to save money. It’s cheap, and that shows, but they do a lot to make the stay comfortable for what you pay. The rooms are clean, and the kitchen has a toaster, microwave and kettle, plus cutlery, tea, coffee and cups. For some reason, there are no bowls. Staff have been friendly and helpful. The location in Glenelg is hard to beat, near the beach, shops and a tram stop.

The room was disgusting. There were dead mosquitoes smeared on the wall, and cockroaches could get under the door. The kettle was black and burnt, and I don’t know how they get away with it. At $130 a night, you’d expect something at least semi-decent, but don’t expect that at Norfolk, ladies and gentlemen! 😂😂

Reception was friendly, parking was easy to access, and the shower pressure was really good. It’s close to the beach and some great restaurants. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, though. It might be okay if you’re not sensitive to that.

This was my fifth stay here over 40 years, and it still has the same style. The rooms are clean and good value, with a quiet atmosphere, comfortable bed and nice hot water. It’s a short walk to Glenelg beach and shops, and easy to catch a tram or bus. There are plenty of food shops nearby. I’ve stayed here with my wife and would recommend it to others. We’ll come again.
