Never again. I've stayed here a few times before and it used to be okay. Now it's a filthy, run-down dump. The bathroom door handle was barely attached, then fell off and locked us out. Reception couldn't do anything until morning, which meant 14 hours without access to the bathroom. I had to find someone myself and pay to get in so we could use the toilet and shower. The floors, bathroom, air con, and bedding all stank in the three rooms we booked. Staff wouldn't answer my calls for the next three days, even though they knew we were unhappy, and offered no compensation. I'd give it a big fat 0 if I could. Very, very poor all round.

The apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the price was reasonable compared with other places nearby. We were mostly only in the room to sleep. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the main drag, beach, and pier. The bathroom badly needs a refurb, and little things like crooked lampshades and a hole in the wall where a picture had fallen affect the first impression. The picture was sitting on top of a cupboard. Fixing those things would make a difference.

The location and access were great. The place wasn't very clean, and the shower screen was mouldy. I also didn't appreciate being charged a double booking fee of $22.50 twice for a click on the computer.

The location is great, but these are budget rooms, not apartments, and the price is reasonable. Parking is very tight, and the place feels old and tired. It could use blackout curtains. The pictures should be changed because there's no hotplate in the room. The outdoor BBQ was dirty and there were no cooking plates. The doors were a hassle, the shower had almost no water pressure, and there was hardly any room around the toilet. Paint was peeling, and the ashtrays out front were full of cigarette butts and clearly hadn't been emptied for some time. Some noise reduction in the rooms would help too, given the busy street and airplane noise.

Cheap and cheerful, and the location was fab. It was handy to have both a double and a single bed in the room. The hot water came and went, which made washing dishes difficult, and the air conditioner was really noisy.
