The staff were welcoming and friendly, and we had a very comfortable one night stay. The room was clean, with large double beds that were really comfortable. It had a hair dryer, tea and coffee, plus shampoo, body wash, lotion, and shower caps. We couldn't book two nights in a row, so we stayed elsewhere the previous night. We brought our luggage over early and left it there because we wouldn't be checking in until around midnight the following day. The staff were more than happy to help, which we really appreciated. A bar next to the lobby had live music, which gave the place a nice atmosphere. The location is very central, and you can walk anywhere in the city centre in minutes. My only complaint is the noise at night, with doors constantly banging as people went into their rooms.

The room was underwhelming compared with the photos, and after this experience I won't stay here again. For a hotel at this price, the service was really disappointing. We went out at 10:00 AM with the “Please Clean” tag clearly showing. When we came back, the bed was still unmade, the towels were used, and the dishes were dirty. Reception said housekeeping had checked at 9:00 AM and skipped the room because it was marked “Do Not Disturb.” Are guests meant to get up before 9:00 just to take the sign down? We asked for the room to be cleaned later, but it still wasn't done, and the tag was left untouched all day. I've never had a hotel refuse to clean a room because we didn't leave early enough. It felt like corner-cutting and unprofessional service. Completely unacceptable. I don't recommend this place.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and I loved having a double shower. I was able to check in early and got lucky with an upgrade, which was fantastic. The hotel has a contemporary feel and draws a mix of people. It's in a great spot, close to everything Adelaide has to offer. Well worth a visit.

The pool, gym, spa, and other amenities made this a 5-star stay for me and my family. The room was clean, nicely refurbished, and had everything we needed. Even though it faced the city street, it was quiet at night. Kate made us feel at home in Adelaide from the start. We arrived early from Sydney, and she welcomed us with a smile, let us check in early, answered all our questions, and arranged a discounted upgrade. Checkout was smooth too. Sushant was helpful and informative, and kindly stored our luggage so we could explore the city before going to the airport. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend The Chancellor on Currie to our friends and family.

The internet was excellent, and the basement has a gym, pool, and spa. I was there for a conference, and the room was clean and good. It had the standard shampoo, lotion, and liquid soap, plus a small fridge, iron and board, kettle, tea, and coffee. The lotion smelled so good. The toilet was good, although water could splash outside the shower cabinet. The staff were nice. Rejika (sorry if I spell your name wrong), the lady at the check-in counter, was super friendly and helpful. There was also a cafe by the check-in area with really nice pastries.
