The location was great, but the rooms were just okay and maintenance could have been better.

The location was great, but what I paid for a 20-day stay was disgusting. There was no front desk, and the photos they sent about getting the keys and reaching the car park were confusing. You’re left to figure it all out yourself. The lifts were confusing too, with nobody there to welcome you or explain how things worked. The floors smelled of old cooking and rubbish, like an alleyway. My room was dirty, the floors were filthy, and I don’t think the bedding had been washed. The shower was filthy, with grime coming off the floor as I showered, and the drain smell was putrid. If this management company looks after your property, I’d be worried. They aren’t taking care of your asset.
Getting checked in was difficult, especially with no front desk and a disconnected phone number on the webpage. The penthouse floor had strong cooking smells. The room was large but had basic furniture, and the couch felt like it had come from a roadside collection, with a dip in the middle. The bed was comfortable enough, and the place was clean. The bathroom fan overhead sounded like a washing machine. There’s a very cute, fluffy cat burglar who visits. The location is great too, about a 10-minute walk to Rundle mall and the central markets.
The smells inside the hotel were really bad, and we checked out a day early because the experience was ridiculous. Someone was inside our apartment without knocking, and we realized we had the wrong key. The key had no name on it. When we called the manager, he was ridiculous, screaming and arguing without offering a solution. There was no customer service. When we asked for his name because we wanted to call the police, he refused and just said, “I’m the manager!” Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.
The view was lovely and the Adelaide location suited what we were doing, but neither made up for how unsafe and poorly maintained the stay felt. There was no fire escape map that we could find, no bathroom hand towel, and the confusing parking, key and lift arrangements felt unprofessional. The room door didn't lock properly, so we left without realizing anyone could walk in. The room and furnishings were below standard for the price, the air conditioning wasn't good, the room smelled of cheap cleaning chemicals, and the hallways stank. The worst part happened around midnight, when we were sitting on the 14th floor balcony. A fault with the door somehow locked us outside. We were stranded on a tiny balcony high up, without water or warm clothes, and had only a phone with a low battery to call for help. Reception was empty, and we couldn't find the after-hours emergency number because it was on a sheet inside the room. We ended up calling police. With help from other people in the building, who said balcony doors had done this before, they got inside. The room's faulty front lock meant they could simply walk in and rescue us. Once back inside, we checked our room key against the balcony door lock and found it didn't match anyway.
