We were here during an emergency with my four kids under three. At first we were given an upstairs room, the only one available then, and managing the stairs was a struggle. When they noticed, they told me as soon as a downstairs room opened up, which worked much better for us. They were very accommodating. The rooms were kept clean, and the lovely housekeeping lady made sure we had enough linen, clean towels and bin liners. The owner made sure our needs were met, too. I was looking for a rental and didn't have access to a computer or printer, so I emailed application forms and he printed them for me. That helped me secure a private rental. My family and I are very grateful. The service was excellent. There's a park nearby with BBQ facilities and a big oval. The one downside, as we've found in plenty of places, is the smoking area under the stairs. Perhaps it could be moved to the street, for other people's occupational health and safety and because of the air-conditioning intake. Smokers generally keep to themselves.

We were there for two nights and left very unhappy. The plumbing was awful: the bathroom flooded and the basin wouldn't drain. Some lights didn't work, and of the two TVs, only one was usable. We got just two towels, with no washer or bath mat, and the single bed hadn't been made up with sheets. This motel needs a lot of repairs. I wouldn't recommend it.

It was surprisingly quiet despite being right on a main road, and the CBD is only a short drive away. The renovated rooms are roomy, with large, comfortable beds, and there's a shopping centre within a short walk as well as some nice local restaurants nearby. Peter greeted everyone with a big smile and easy conversation. It's independently run and locally owned, and you can tell the people there enjoy their work.

The rooms were clean, but the motel itself felt so old that it needs to be demolished and rebuilt. Our mattress sagged, and there was plastic beneath the mattress protector, presumably to catch urine pooling in it. People gathered beneath the stairs to smoke at all hours, making it noisy. Sorry, but this felt like a one or two star motel.
