Mina helped us with an early check-in, and I genuinely appreciated her assistance. After that, though, the stay was extremely disappointing, and I wouldn’t stay here again. The room’s plug points were inefficient from the start, then stopped working altogether late on the second day. There was nobody at reception to help, so we couldn’t charge our phones or other essential devices. Our phones and appliances were completely drained, which was incredibly frustrating. The bathroom water also stopped working completely on the first day. It eventually came back, but the interruption caused significant inconvenience and shouldn’t happen during a hotel stay. The bed sheets had visible stains and looked yellowed, as though they’d been reused without proper washing. That was unhygienic and unacceptable. Apart from the early check-in help, the experience was very poor and didn’t meet even basic expectations.

The bed was very worn and really needed replacing, but for the price I paid, the stay was worth it. It’s a nice motel with good-sized rooms and a modern bathroom. I was there on a Monday and the restaurant was closed. I liked the World War 2 photos of Albany ports and ships on the stairwells.

Our room was great, apart from having no way to cook, not even a microwave. Otherwise it was fine, and we’ll stay again. Mina, I think, was also very nice and friendly.

Mina made us feel at home right from the start. She’s an outstanding receptionist, always kind, friendly, and funny, and helped us with everything we needed. Her warm, professional manner made our stay much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The only good thing was the location, though you still need to drive to get places and it’s a long walk to the city centre. The rest was rubbish. Never again. The bed was hard as a rock, and there was no spare bedding or even a blanket. There was dust everywhere, so I doubt the place was cleaned properly. Parking bays are only good if you have a small vehicle. If you stay on Monday or Tuesday, there’s no hot breakfast, just a basic takeaway box. This wasn’t advertised on the webpage, and they only tell you after you’ve paid. Elderly people, beware: using the offered plug for the kettle means getting down on your knees to reach it.
