If you love art deco, this place and Albury are a dream. You can see the care and attention that have gone into the hotel. We were glad we booked two nights, which gave us time to enjoy what it had to offer. Finding this gem and its proprietor Kevin made us so pleased. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Kevin.

We stayed in the Andy Warhol room, and it was modern, quirky, clean, comfortable and really pleasant, with an amazing feel. The bathroom and amenities were great too. Kevin was a lovely host, and we enjoyed hearing his story and learning about his hotel. My wife and I would stay here again. A wonderful boutique hotel.

The room is sensational, and Kevin gave me a lovely welcome, including a drink and a detailed tour with explanations of the artwork and tips about the city. My train home wasn't until 4pm on Sunday, so I mentioned that to him. He checked and, since he had no booking, offered to let me stay all day. That's unheard-of hospitality. This is a brilliant hotel, and I'd recommend it to everyone.

Immaculate presentation, an interesting, quirky fitout and a high-end finish. The hosting was outstanding too. I arrived to wine, and after dinner the room was turned down with a nightcap waiting on the side table. There was a huge bath with quality salts and an oversized rainmaker shower, plus plenty more. It felt like a six-star experience, and staying here could be a destination in itself.

Kevin's warm, attentive service made the stay feel personal, and there were thoughtful touches throughout. Fresh towels were replenished daily, the continental breakfast was beautifully presented, the minibar was included, and there was a relaxing nightcap in the evening. Booking the spa online was simple and convenient too. Hotel Circa 1929 is in a great spot, within easy walking distance of everything. Its stylish interior mixes character with modern comfort. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would highly recommend it for the service and attention to detail.
