Erldunda Roadhouse

We stayed on December 3, 2025. The staff member we dealt with was friendly and welcoming. We brought our own solar panel and booked an unpowered site. With quite a lot of guests already there, we ended up in an area that was uneven and dusty, with plenty of ants, so keep that in mind if choosing an unpowered site. The views of both sunrise and sunset were really beautiful, and there’s a camel on-site, which was a fun little touch. We also came across a basketball court and a pool for guests. The toilets and showers were clean, with handy built-in shelves in the showers. The water had both hot and cold options and worked well. A decent stay with lovely views and great staff.

The toilets were pretty hot in summer, and I wondered if they’d been cleaned recently. I also felt a little uneasy after seeing some people sitting outside the gate. The caravan sites are mostly shaded by trees, and you can pick your own spot. Wi-Fi was okay, though limited to 1 GB a day.

We only stopped because we needed power. The powered site was $30, then reception asked how many people were in our group. I said two adults, no kids or pets, and they added another $14, making it $44 altogether. Nothing special about the stop.

The staff were helpful and the food was fresh, but the rooms really need some work. The floors were very noisy, and the place felt tired. I was driving from Darwin to S.A. and had hoped for somewhere comfortable.
