I booked one week at Red Rock Hostel and then extended for another month. I’m still here, which says a lot. Manager Mervin is always ready to help and makes you feel welcome. Bathrooms, kitchen and shared areas are kept clean and tidy, and the pool is cleaned regularly. It has a friendly, relaxed feel, good for meeting people or just unwinding. It’s central, close to Main Street (Todd Mall) and within walking distance of grocery stores. Bed curtains would add privacy, and longer kitchen hours would be useful. I understand the 10 pm closing is for safety, though sometimes it feels limiting. I’m very happy staying here and would recommend Red Rock Hostel.

The hostel is clean, well located and has a lovely atmosphere. Mervin and his wife were so welcoming. When my boyfriend and I got food poisoning, they offered us a private room and help, and made us feel at home. They went above and beyond to make sure we were okay, completely unprompted. Thanks again, and all the best. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Alice.

Our stay was amazing, and the place feels more like a shared house than a hostel. It’s a lovely spot in the centre of Alice Springs, suitable for short or long stays. I rarely write reviews, but Mervin and his Wife showed far more care and gave much better service than I expected. I highly recommend it to anyone travelling here.

I spent Christmas night here and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The manager organised and hosted a free Christmas BBQ with lots of food, fun games with prizes and a great atmosphere. It made for a really memorable night. All the facilities were clean and well maintained. I’d definitely recommend this place.

The people and staff look after this place well, and it’s mostly pretty clean. The WiFi works well and the beds don’t squeak. In every way, it’s better than the hostels I’ve stayed at in Perth. More power sockets would be nice.
