We had a brilliant October long weekend in 2023 at this quirky cabin. It had what we needed for a comfortable stay and made a good base for the rest of the island. Communication with the owner was great, and our family had a great time visiting. We’ll certainly book it again on our next vacation.

The menu board showed specials that weren’t available, but the wait staff still charged us for them. The manager seemed occupied making his parents comfortable in the Cafe and shuffling magazines and newspapers, with little to no regard for the staff who were struggling. I visited a month ago, and I’ll never set foot inside this establishment again. The food was disappointing. My guest’s chicken schnitzel tasted tangy and came with no sauce. I ordered fish and chips PFD style, and for almost $30 in a seaside town I expected fresh local fish, but that wasn’t what I got. Both plates had lukewarm, inedible chips, and the side salad was dry with no dressing. The house white wine was awful, too. Bar staff struggled to make a lemon, lime and bitters, and the second attempt was worse than the first. This is a Cafe, not a restaurant.
