Beacon Point Ocean View Villas

We spent three nights at Beacon Point View Villas in early February for our first family holiday. The view across the valley and beach was stunning, especially at sunset. Our villa was clean and had everything we needed to feel comfortable.

The accommodation was comfortable, with beautiful views, and everything was well maintained. The location worked well for day trips to Apollo bay or Forrest, while still feeling secluded enough for some peace and quiet. Staff were also flexible when I needed to change my dates, and the essentials were provided.

The best part was the view over Apollo Bay and the National Park, with some gorgeous sunsets. A koala also spent most of our stay in the tree in the car park outside our apartment. We used the place as a stop on a Great Ocean Road trip. The apartment was clean and had what we needed, but the furnishings felt simple and dated. The kitchen was fine for a basic meal or a barbecue on the patio gas BBQ. We slept comfortably enough, though the bedroom was warm because the air conditioning was only in the living room. Service was pretty much nonexistent. Check-in was self-service, and we had to call a number to get the key code. There wasn’t much explanation of the rural site layout, which wasn’t ideal for us coming from the UK with poor Australian mobile reception.

We loved having a fire, and there was plenty of wood supplied. The rooms were clean and very well maintained, with a beautiful view. The host was always around for a friendly chat if we needed one. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!
