Seaview Motel and Apartments

The staff were nice and friendly, and the room was clean, comfortable, and big enough for the four of us. It had all the facilities we needed, including a stove and toaster, so we could enjoy dinner and breakfast there. Everything, from the room to the beds and pillows, was clean and good. The beds were a bit too soft for us, though. The place is peaceful and well located, with the beach just a short walk away.

We had room number 1, on the ground floor in a corner, so there was no sea view for us despite the Sea view motel name. Everyone walked past our windows, which meant no privacy. Cleaning was generally okay, though there was a dead fly on the floor when we arrived. My 2-star rating was mainly because I couldn’t get any wifi at all during our stay. There was 0 wifi in room number 1.

Check-in staff were very friendly, and the room was spacious, modern, clean, and had good, fast internet. The location was another plus. But several things made our stay uncomfortable. The bathroom had no heating, and even with it +14°C in the morning, it felt freezing to shower or wash up once we stepped out of the hot water. There was no shower curtain, so water splashed onto the floor, and the water pressure was weak. Soundproofing was poor, too, so we could hear the street and neighbouring rooms. There were only two wine glasses and two water glasses in the room. The kitchen note threatened a $20 fine if dishes weren’t washed, but there wasn’t even a sponge to wash them with. The location, welcoming staff, and fast internet were definite positives, but the missing basics and lack of bathroom heating made things uncomfortable. Some improvements could make this place much better.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. It was quiet and relaxing, with shops and the beach close by. I’d happily stay again.
