The owner was very friendly and pointed us towards the RSL for dinner. Her recommendation was spot on. We’d definitely return when travelling to Melbourne. The location was great, and the room, bed linen and towels were very clean.

For one night, it was okay for the price. The room was very, very small, though fairly clean, and it had good heating and a comfortable bed. The toilet roll holder was broken, as was the little door covering the crockery and kettle.

We needed somewhere for a couple of days, so I called and had a room within seconds. We arrived ten minutes later, and the key and room were ready. Check-in was easy and helpful.

I stayed at Chalambar Motel twice last year, both times in winter. I found it clean and safe, and the room had more than enough facilities for what I needed. The split-system heating kept it warm, and there was an electric blanket on the bed. The staff were friendly and happy to help with anything. Harry in particular was a pleasure to deal with and made me feel very welcome. I’d recommend the motel and would definitely stay again.

The owners were friendly and polite, and the rooms were clean, comfortable and nice. It’s in a great spot near the town centre. Highly recommend, and I’d definitely stay again.
