The Alluna Motel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We stopped here on the way through to QLD, and it was just right. The freshly renovated interiors are beautiful, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, and everything was clean. Check-in and checkout were easy, as was getting to the motel. Our room had a koala fold out couch, plus a microwave, fridge and freezer, which worked perfectly for us. Thank you, it's a perfect little motel ❤️

After the renovation, the rooms were new and clean, and checking in after hours was easy. Housekeeping kept things tidy each day and replaced the cookies, which I appreciated. The air conditioning worked well and the shower had good pressure. It could have been a perfect stay, but the insulation was poor. A large gap under the entrance door let in noise and insects, especially at night. Bugs kept flying in on the first evening, and I had to get rid of them six times before blocking the gap myself. The same thing happened each night after that. Noise came through the front of the room too. Tradies talking and getting into their utes woke me earlier than I wanted, around 6.30am-7am each morning. I hope management looks into it.

The owners and managers were very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Freshly renovated rooms, a lovely bathroom and shower, everything you need, and a great location. Definitely recommend this little motel.

I'll book at the Alluna again next time I'm in Armidale. The staff were super friendly, and it was a pleasant 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to shops and restaurants. Even though the motel is on a road out of town, the room was surprisingly quiet. The rooms are tastefully decorated, with amazing bathrooms, and the bed was perfect. After work, the crystal clean pool was a great way to cool off from the heat.
