The service really stood out, especially Alex, who handled our phone booking and welcomed us at check-in. He was patient, courteous, professional, and exceptionally kind. The rest of the staff were helpful and friendly too. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked, though not especially big. The food was good as well, with a nice range of gluten-free choices.

The food itself was delicious, and checking into my room was easy and welcoming. But the service at dinner was patchy, especially since the place was quiet on Sunday around 6 to 6:30 pm. My cocktail was gone before my main arrived, and nobody offered me another drink. The empty glass stayed on the table while I ate. The main came in a reasonable time and tasted good, but the table hadn't been set, so it arrived with only a steak knife. The waitress had to fetch a napkin and fork. I had to get a waiter's attention to order another drink, and it took so long I thought it had been forgotten. After my plate was cleared, nobody offered dessert, so I got up, chose something from the cake display, and ordered at the bar. It came without a napkin, which I needed.

We met up for dinner with another couple of friends tonight, and it was a relaxed place with a lovely atmosphere. The food and drinks were delicious. Chloe was a friendly, lovely waitress, and after a small altercation with another waiter, her courteous manner really lifted how I felt about the restaurant. I hope management knows what a professional and valuable person she is. Thanks, Chloe.

The portions were tiny for what they charged, and the food was overcooked and late. It felt like typical hotel food and a rip-off. We were still hungry, so we bought takeaway on the way home. First visit, and I won't be back.
