The reception staff were accommodating and friendly, and housekeeping added some thoughtful touches that made a big difference. I slept well, with clean, comfortable beds and rooms. It’s a lovely, hospitable place with nice gardens, a pool and spa, and a few good local spots such as Shaws Bay Hotel. Well run and great value.

John’s dinner suggestion sent us across the road to Capiche restaurant. It was a 10/10 experience and an easy walk. John and Colin were first class, friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way for us despite the New Year’s Eve rush. We booked at the last minute that night and felt lucky to get a room. It turned out to be a great choice: spotlessly clean, with lovely gardens, spacious rooms, a huge comfortable king bed and a great shower. The sauna and spa were excellent bonuses. We’d stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ballina.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and there are cafes for breakfast or lunch and a nice Italian restaurant within walking distance. You can also walk to surf and bay beaches. We had a clean, spacious King Spa Room with everything well appointed, plus a little balcony overlooking the garden that leads to the pool. A nice mid-range hotel for a short stay in the first week of February.

The staff were friendly, and apart from a couple of things, the place was perfect. There should be more access points for people whose rooms don’t back onto the pool area. Also, the restaurant was shut the whole time, which was frustrating when we wanted to wine and dine then stroll back to our room. The location is great and the rooms are a good size. Absolutely recommend.

We had a lovely king spa room, spacious and nicely laid out, with a rainfall shower head and a beautiful garden view. A path led from our room through the garden to the pool, spa and sauna. The location is beautiful and the staff were wonderful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
