A quiet camping spot to get away and hide out. It’s a good site, but some toilets were closed, so we had to walk farther to use the others. The facilities could be improved.

We only came in to shower before dinner at the brewery, and the shower itself was clean. The cabin room, though, wasn’t: there was chewy beside the cutlery tray and an empty chip packet in the bedside table. The bed was falling apart. After riding the mountain bike trails, we’d booked one night, but ended up driving the 1.5 hours home instead. It was an expensive shower. The grounds looked poorly kept and the signs need replacing. I don’t recommend it.

The photos online look lovely, but in person the grounds were overgrown and poorly maintained, even during the holiday period. Our cabin smelled like sewerage, the floors weren’t clean, and the bed was uncomfortable. For the price, I expected much better. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. After reading the reviews on their own page, I honestly think they’re written by friends.

The location is great, but the service was horrible. I regret writing a negative review, but the state of the campground and the way we were treated were so poor that I don’t want anyone else to go through it. We booked two nights and left after one. The campground was flooded, which wasn’t the owners’ fault. But the powered site connection they gave me was unsafe: the power box had arced and caught fire before, and the extension cord was melted to it. There was no water hookup either. When I brought up the lack of facilities and safety and asked for a refund, the owners verbally abused me and falsely accused me of driving around with my kids in the caravan. I was extremely taken aback, and the accusation was completely untrue. The place is very run down and poorly managed, with no customer service. Other reviews describing verbal abuse by the owners seem right on the mark. We moved to another caravan park, paid $10 less per night, and got much better facilities, friendly service, and safe power hookups.

It’s between the two mountain bike trail areas, which is a fantastic location. There’s hot water in the showers, plus power and water at some sites. But the campground feels neglected, spiders have taken over the facilities, and you’re pretty much on your own when you arrive. I’d return for the location, and the spiders don’t bother me, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
