Hinterland House

Such a beautiful house and land. We had a magnificent time there. It’s chic and really comfortable, and we can’t wait to stay again. Love!

Steph and Sam were unbelievably accommodating throughout our stay. They’re kind and caring, their service was outstanding, and they made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Campbell and I spent three nights at Hinterland House in May for our wedding. The property was beautifully maintained and stunning, and both our families stayed there. All our guests were in complete awe. It was a beautiful weekend, and the photos and memories will last a lifetime. We can’t recommend Hinterland House enough and hope to return for our first wedding anniversary. Thank you so much.

There were 16 of us staying at Hinterland House for our wedding weekend, and we loved having so many places to gather for meals or relax, indoors and out on the back deck. The common areas were spacious and immaculately styled. Every room had its own personality, with incredible furniture and thoughtful bespoke details. The bathrooms are incredible. The house has recently had a full renovation and style refresh, which has taken it to another level. We booked it as our wedding venue with high hopes after seeing the massive verandah, gorgeous pool and beautifully kept gardens. What we got was better than we imagined. Our bridal parties and families could stay together for the whole weekend, and we even squeezed in welcome drinks and a pool party before the big day. Toasting marshmallows at the fire pit in the evenings was a highlight. Guests were blown away, and the natural beauty meant our ceremony, cocktail and reception areas looked stunning without much setup. Stef and Sam were a delight to work with. Nothing was too much trouble, and they helped in lots of big and small ways. They were friendly and accommodating. I’d use any excuse to stay here again, and as a wedding venue it was excellent. Honestly, do yourself a favour and stay. We loved it so much I can’t imagine anyone not loving it too.

Stef and Sam were lovely and easy to communicate with. Sam helped with the little things we needed and got the property ready for our wedding. The house was spotless on arrival, every pillow was fluffed, and the care in all the details was obvious. Even with 14 of us staying, there was plenty of room to relax. The wrap-around deck was a favourite, and the new interior styling brings a modern feel to the heritage home. I fell for several furniture pieces, and Stef shared the stylist’s details, Bisque interiors, so I’ll definitely be buying something for my own home. We had 12 friends and family with us for our wedding weekend and held an intimate ceremony at Hinterland House. The property is jaw-dropping, and our guests were blown away. We married on the side lawn with lead light windows and vines behind us, so there was no need for ceremony flowers or decorations. We took our wedding photos in the macadamia orchard and along the palm-lined drive, which meant we didn’t have to leave our guests for long. Then we moved everyone to the back deck for the reception, with the mountains and pool as the backdrop. Being able to stay before and after the wedding let us really soak it all in. The home is phenomenal, thoughtfully designed throughout, with comfortable, cozy and peaceful spaces. It was an amazing experience, and we never wanted to leave. We’ll definitely come back, in Summer or Winter.
