Ash was a huge part of what made our stay special. He was a delight to talk with around the hotel and went out of his way to make our wedding event feel stress-free. We were sad to leave, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. We stayed at Grand Vue over our wedding long weekend with family and our bridal party, and held a pre-wedding gathering in the garden. The hotel sits on a lovely hill in Battery Point with views across the Derwent. The garden is beautifully kept, and we got to see every room, all of them gorgeous. Breakfast was delicious and far more than we expected. There’s homemade cake on the premises every day, too. A boutique hotel at its finest.

The Grande Vue was the best part of our Tassie holiday. It feels more like being welcomed into friends’ home than staying at a hotel, and the restored grand house is beautiful, comfortable, and clearly a credit to its hosts. The hosts and staff were wonderful, warm and helpful, and nothing seemed to be a problem. We especially appreciated the extra treats, including homemade apple cake with afternoon tea. Ash deserves a special mention for sending my earrings to my home after I left them in our room. We highly recommend the Grande Vue.

After a full day out, it was lovely to come back to the warm, luxurious hotel Ash and Brock have created. The garden terrace overlooking the River Derwent was a favourite place to unwind. We spent four nights at Grande Vue and loved the property and its location in one of Hobart’s prettiest neighbourhoods, with excellent restaurants and pubs just a short walk away. Thanks to Ash, Brock, and Riccardo for such a wonderful stay!

The harbour views are stunning, and the rooms and decor are gorgeous. We also loved being able to use the kitchen whenever we wanted a cup of tea or a snack. This guesthouse felt like staying in someone’s beautiful home, and we loved our time here. Thanks for having us.

We stayed in the waterfront room facing the Bay for two nights over NYE 🎆 and could still see the fireworks through the side windows. Everything was immaculately clean, and the shared kitchen and dining room were fully equipped. We absolutely adored our stay, highly recommend it, and would come back 💞
