For nine days in my room, I asked whether they could change the sheets and was told I was expected to wash them and put them back on myself. How long do you have to stay before you get any cleaning? The free Wi-Fi listed on booking sites was too weak to access, and when I raised it, the response was basically that it was free. If they can’t provide it, they shouldn’t list it as a facility. The shower has only half a glass screen, so water gets all over the bathroom. When I mentioned these problems on the phone, I was told that was why rooms were so cheap. They aren’t as cheap as they think. Service was horrendous, and I’d look elsewhere, even if it cost a bit more.

This didn’t feel like a four star hotel at all. It seemed more like someone’s apartment, left unprepared and not professionally cleaned for paying guests. There were crumbs in the bed and on the sofa, dust on the carpet, and food and hair on a bed that hadn’t even been made properly. The rooms didn’t look like the advertised photos. Check-in was difficult, and when we ran into problems, nobody answered the phone or replied to our email.
